Description du sujetOUr research group works on the complex interactions between bacteria and phagocytic cells. On the one hand we study how phagocytic cells ingest and kill bacteria, using the amoeba Dictoystelium as a model system. On the other hand we study the molecular mechanisms that allow pathogenic bacteria to evade killing in phagosomes. More specifically this PhD will focus on how E. coli bacteria (pathogenic or not) interact with phagocytic cells. Check a few of our previous publications to get an idea of the type of research in our laboratory: An easy review to get started: Cosson, P, Soldati, T. 2008.
